After being in the business for some time,I'm starting to grab the concept of how this industry works.
The Manufacturer,Samsung Electronics, will ship out their smartphones to several Huge Volume Distributor at a very very low price. Then ,these distributors will then distributes the smartphones out by marking up a small profit. Depending on which level of the process you're on, you will be offered different pricing on different volume. (Changes from time to time, may even go up sometimes)
As dealers,we are advised to sell our smartphones at the retail price set by Samsung but however, still free to sell at a lower cost. Due to intense competition, many will opt to sell lower and earn more through the accessories. This explains why the prices in KL is so low.
Most accessories out there are Made in China. They usually come in a very low price and so does the quality.
However,I notice that many people opt for the design rather than how it feels and its durability.
AP(Approved Products) phones
I heard that AP phones are actually Original Smartphones that comes from Singapore.
Only difference between these phones is that AP phones doesn't have a warranty with the Samsung Customer Service Center of Malaysia.
However, the difference between the cost of AP phones and Ori phones are <RM200,therefore,dealers rarely sells AP Samsung phones(Not to say no one is selling,Just make sure you receive the warranty confirmation to ensure it's not AP)
Here at Savwee,we stresses on selling only original sets to avoid after sales dispute.
